Push27 was born Manuel Ornelas May 27, 1990 in Fresno CA.
Being a graffiti writer running and partying through out the city, it was only a matter of time before he would meet Jeffery Conor (Hawst) (PR), Jesus Covarrubias Jr (Mucus) (Rapper/Producer), Channy Hem (Serkus) (Producer/Rapper),and Robert Peña (Dumb L) (Rapper) which would eventually become the “Party crew” and Hip Hop Group now known as iMak Ent. (Originally witha spelled with a “c”).
Push started writing poetry in highschool as a school assignment which later became a past time. When Push’sfamily moved out of Fresno he eventually began living with Serkus. With Serkus taking him under his wing he learned how to make beats. As time progressed Push started writing about his partying experiences combining them with vivid, explicit humor and metaphors. Later Push, Serkus, Mucus, and LL would team up to make a song called “Totally Smacked” little did they know the group would grow from being just a party crew to become what is now known as the hip hop group “iMak Ent.”. When people started to acknowledge the group for their talents, making music became his passion.
In between traveling and performing iMak Ent is currently working on their highly anticipated album “The Party”.Being backed by family, friends, fans, DJs and 559mmProductions (A fullproduction team consisting of Engineers, Producers, Directors, Photographers, andMusicians) the album is sure to get recognized.
With Serkus producing, the group’s up tempo Beats, the explicit lyrics, and high energy made it hard for the Fresno “party scene” to ignore. As time progressed and their music spread, the group’s fan base quickly grew. In January 2012 they released theirsingle “Booty”. With the help 559mmProductions they made their first music video, which had a surprising 15,000 plus views on YouTube in the first week dubbed by fans as the most epic video to hit the Fresno underground “party scene.
“I thought we were just being herdby the people we partied with every weekend, I always herd stories about peoplehearing our music in LA and The Bay but never really paid it much attention. Ithink its when I seen the 15,000 views that’s when I started believing thehype,” says Ornelas.
After sending their song “Booty” toB95’s “Homegrown show” it quickly took the streets by storm, and Eventually therecord made regular rotation.
“We made this song being dumb and joking around, people justliked it. We had no idea it would ever get to this point.”
