Known as the King of Da North thanks to his Canadian roots, rapper P. Reign first broke through in his homeland around 2010 when joined Drake's Away from Home tour as both an opening act and Drake's hypeman.
Born Raynford Humphrey in Toronto, P. Reign had already released a handful of singles and a couple of mixtapes when he hit the road with Drake, but previous legal issues kept him from entering America with the tour. The title of his debut EP, 2014's Dear America, referenced his passport problems. The EP was released on the RCA label and featured a high-profile guest list including verses from Drake, Future, and PartyNextDoor. ~ David Jeffries
