L'intento iniziale è stato quello di proporre sonorità e brani propri che balzano nel funk, nel grunge, nel pop, nel blues, nell’acustic sound, per poi sfociare in un rock d’impatto, impulsivo e di chiaro stampo identificativo.

L’intento di proporre un rock indipendente porta il quartetto a scegliere PLAYLOAD come nome rappresentativo: letteralmente “gioco carico”, “caricamento del gioco”, questo nome appare particolarmente adatto nel designare la band, in quanto proprio in esso si può cogliere il connubio tra il rock e la vera essenza di questi artisti: la scelta di mettere in gioco la propria espressione artistica trasmettendola sotto forma di “gioco sonoro”.

Nell'agosto 2008 la band conquista il secondo posto al Giast Fest vincendo il Premio della Critica mentre nell'Aprile 2009 si aggiudicano sempre il secondo posto al ControVoci Festival.

Dopo un promo targato 2008 e dopo la partecipazione alla Compilation "Mosh Your Brain" (prodotta e distribuita dall'Agenzia SpeeD-Up Agency) i Playload hanno registrato il loro primo album "Complicated Human Relatioships" uscito in luglio 2009 per l'Etichetta Sintetica Records.

Playload were born on January 2008, starting from an idea of Pezzuto David, De Francesco Dario and Muja Gabriele.

They wanted to provide new sonorities and personal tracks which jump from the funk to the grunge , from the pop to the blues and in the acoustic sound, drifting, at last, onto an impulsive rock that characterizes our personality as a band: this was Playload’s initial purpose.

As the quartet wanted to produce an independent rock, they chose Playload as the name of the band: in the sense of “charged game” or “charging of the game”, this name appears particularly suitable for the band because it could be easily understood the union between rock and the essence of this artists: their choice to stake their artistic expression transferring it into a “sound game”. In Agoust, 2009 the band was the runner up at Giast Fest, winning the "Critic Award". Then in April, 2009 was the runner up at Controvoci Festival. After the release of their 2008 self-titled Promo and after the inclusion in "Mosh your Brain Compilation" (produced and released by SpeeD-Up Agency) Playload recorded their first Album "Complicated Human Relationship", released in July 2009 for Sintetica Records.
