Most well-known for his position as the guitarist for the High Llamas, Pete Aves began his solo career with the recording of Fidelity in 2001.
A noticeable departure from his High Llamas work, Aves steered clear of conventional songwriting wisdom and delivered a set of songs and laid the blueprint for Bystanding no less than a few months later. He then followed up with the unassuming but equally creative Downbeat in 2003. A Family Tree was released in 2005 on the Cherry Red imprint.~ Rob Theakston
