Örsten is a Parisian artist of Finnish descent.
With his second album “Amer amour”, this unique musician carries us through classy atmospheres, mixing film-music with hip hop mechanics and classical piano melodies.

His tracks “Fleur blanche” and “Adagio sostenuto” were selected by Stéphane Pompougnac for the Hôtel Costes compilations (volumes 10 and 12). And recently “Fleur blanche” was also heard in The Vampire Diaries television series.

In the early nineties, Örsten developed a passion for American hip hop music. Back then, he used his computer to sample his parents’ records. As a self-taught beatmaker, he began creating rap instrumentals, and later evolved towards producing more elaborate tracks that did not need an MC. Since then, Örsten has been upgrading his characteristic melancholic style that mixes acoustic piano melodies with electronic rhythms based on samples and synthesizer sounds.
