With Drew Watson (guitar/ vocals/ bass/ drums) and Kathy Denton (bass/ vocals/ guitar/ drums) losing both of their bands in 1991, the two of them got together with drummer Ron Matus (formerly of Rob-Roy Fingerhead) to form Frankenfinger.
With their own style of blending pop-punk along with the general theme of goofball humor, Frankenfinger woke up Tallahassee, Florida with their first single Minuet in 1992. Three years following after their self-titled EP released on Albert Ayler's Jukebox Records and Woody Compton fulfilling the drummers position, the EPs You Ain't Punk and Freezerhead came out on Cash Monkey Records in 1996. Following yet another drummer, Brent McNeal took over on the skins, leading to the CD EP Forty Hour Sea, in 1996; which came out not too long after Frankenfinger disbanded. ~ Mike DaRonco
