“Ooooowwwwwwwwwww” which is the catch phase of a hustler’s son, performing/recording artist, “Stakes” who is a native of Chicago’s Southside neighborhood Robbins also known as Mudville is seen by some as a new light in the music industry.
This artist is a true advocate for change in hip-hop and this Midwesterner’s five year plan includes growth and pumping out the best music possible with each growth spurt. Stakes considers himself as a versatile artist easy to work with and always working toward the ultimate goal like most, which is becoming one of the best as he plays his part in converting the politically driven transformation of the hip-hop game back to its sturdy roots.
“Stakes” has performed at many venues throughout the country, building upon a small but growing fan base which has given him the opportunity to travel and prove that rocking a stage is second nature and the message’s he expresses through his music is considered by most to be heartfelt and undeniable. Even though he is still up and coming “Stakes” has proven that he can run with the best in the business. Versatility has definitely put him in a very prominent position in his life. This seasoned artist has been in the entertainment business for quite some time now and within that time he has released multiple projects which include his first 2 EP’s entitled "Closing In & Give Em More" which he stated are his personal favorites. The projects were released at the time for promotional purposes in lieu of potential record deals from Universal & Sony Records.
Stakes is always working on new projects and the “Hustle or Grind” as we all call it is the core of his track record but his talents don’t stop there. He designs his own graphic’s for all his projects as well as record's and mixes his own music. He is currently the producer and editor of his own small internet reality show entitled K*TV which is an inside backstage look of himself and the everyday events that take place in the lives of other artist around him.
For the time being he continues to work hard “grinding” staying busy until he reaches the ultimate goal.
