Nickita has used her tenacity and drive to pursue the career she has always longed for.
Having already recorded and released an album in 2009 Nickita is now making waves on the Electronic Dance Music scene. Nickita has recorded vocals on a track for Specimen A's Rock Star EP, which was released on Funkatech Records in March 2013 with support and airplay from XFM and Kiss FM, as well as recording tracks with well known French DJ and producer DJ Bertrand and rising star on the EDM scene DJ Fatface. Nickita has recently been invited on BBC Introducing, featuring in the studio with a live acoustic performance and interview with presenter Gareth Lloyd. Having recently put together a full band for live performances Nickita now plans to take them into the studio to record an EP showcasing her dance tinged sounds laced with powerful soulful vocals.
Nickita has previously performed at many top London music venues including The 100 Club on Oxford Street and The Dublin Castle and Purple Turtle in Camden and performed to over 3,000 people at the Mix 96 Christmas light switch-on in Aylesbury last November. Nickita also made it through to the second round of MTV's Brand New for 2012 competition with her track Enough and kicked off her campaign with a performance at Faces nightclub in Gants Hill, Essex, on Friday 9th December at the launch of Style Compass fashion magazine in front of the Essex Fashion Week crew and many celebrities. She has also performed with her live band at an industry showcase at the world famous Sphere Studios in London and on the BBC Introducing stage at the Cotswold Show Festival of Music. Recently, Nickita has attracted the attention of Mark Hill from Artful Dodger, Phil Wilde from 2Unlimited, Marcella Detroit from Shakespears Sister, Ricky and Melvin from Kiss 100 and folk singer Edwina Hayes. She has frequently been compared vocally to Christina Aguilera with the performance penache of Lady Gaga.
