Nick Elia cemented his reputation as a music producer by winning the Prix International Luigi Russolo award, quickly followed by collaborating on studio productions for major artists such as Xavier Naidoo and Söhne Mannheims and working on cultural events such as Autosymphonic with 20,000 attendees, 55 million television viewers and 1,5 billion media contacts: “the project was so demanding that the company had to fly in specialist Nick Elia to oversee the music production” SWR TV, Germany.
He has consolidated his many years in the classical field with modern popular music to develop his own unique style in production and engineering. He spent over 6 years working as a producer in studios around the UK and Germany such as Schokopro, Blackhorse and Baltic. From a young age he was mentored by international producers Alan Fisher (Bjork, LFO), Kevin Paul (Moby, Depeche Mode), Yoyo (Emma Bunton, The Honeyz), Scanner (Bryan Ferry, Laurie Anderson) and Matthew Sansom (Rhodri Davies, Ross Lambert).

Since 2002 Nick is involved in the production of Electronic Dance Music. The foundation stone for this transition was laid in Austria where his first tech-house productions Deep In The Night and Vivid were performed at the Moz-Fest (Rockhouse). Since then, he has released records on DSR Records, Aesthis Records and has credits on remixes for Republic Artists (UK), Blkhs Records (UK), Fabric Records (US) and The United States of Electronica.Nick continues to engender his electronic dance music performances having played at the internationally established venues Pacha (UK), Eden (Ibiza), Egg (UK), Ministry of Sound (UK), Fabric (UK), Area (UK), Lighthouse (UK), Mcqueen (UK), Kanya (Ibiza), Hidden (UK), Klub D (Cyprus), Whitehouse (UK), Viva (Ibiza), Artesian Well (UK), Starsky & Hutch (Cyprus), Rockhouse (Austria), DV (Greece), Biennale Festival (Macedonia), Boat Parties (Ibiza, UK, Cyprus), Battery Festival (UK) etc. Since 2006 he performed at various events for London Underground Raves promotions and he now gigs and tours Ibiza with Seminor, Dirty Dubbin, We Are London, Republic Artists, Lush Funk and Ibiza Gathering.

His collaborative work with Marios Joannou Elia En Plo was premiered at Akademie der Kuenste Berlin and was nominated for the Austrian Contribution to the World New Music Days in Sweden 2009. Vertumnus received the Luigi Russolo Prize for electroacoustic music, awarded from Studio Forum France, Luigi Rusolo-Pratella Foundation (Varèse), ElektraMusik (Strasbourg), Gràcia Territori Sonor (Barcelona), Experimental Studio Slovak Radio and Monochromevision (Moscow). Moreover, Die Jagd was co-produced by the Stuttgart State Opera with Rampe Theater in Stuttgart and was selected to be performed at Frühling festival in Munich.
