With full power of presence on stage, a wide playground of music and the connection of her characteristic voice, as her heartfelt consiousness for lyrics – she can touch core, ears and body.
Nicatea joins the mission of sharing content, intensity and input.

Nicatea lives in Berlin and packs her melodies and lyrics into 3 languages on various stages and different styles. She is a representative of a future orientated generation with a critical but positive approach to global transformation. Passionate and honest in consciousness, that runs through all lyrics, languages, nations and generations.

Blessed with a multifaceted voice she sings and performs an electronic-acoustic fusion of urban beats, latin and hip hop rhythms, as well as neo-soul, world and electronic elements. On a mission of music she plays with top class musicians , well-known german acts or supports as a studio singer.

Playing together with Mil Santos (www.milsantos.com) a colombian singer and songwriter, offers her another field of expressing herself in latinfusion. From 2009 until 2016 she was a steady part of the live crew, the front singer next to Mil Santos, and the female voice on „EN VIDA!“ and „CREO“. With natural ease these two singers combine the two most spoken languages on our planet.

„EN VIDA!“ appeared 2012 with the singles and videos „A que te cojo“, „Todos de pie“ and „Buscando la luz“and is available for purchase.

With the song „OYE!“ you can also listen to the appearance of George Pajón - guitarist of the BLACK EYED PEAS.

With latin hip hop rythms, percussion, a live hornsection, elctronic elements and 2 great voices the artists connect two worlds and discover new ones.

Every year they went on tour through Colombia, playing concerts among others for the realization of a socially groundbreaking project for the history of Medellin: “Zona Norte”. According to the motto „sin muros“(without walls) they played several concerts which were broadcasted on live tv, such as music and lyrics workshops for and with young people. The well-known colombian filmmaker Dieago Garcia captured it all in a film.

In german speaking countries Nicatea and Mil Santos went on tour with CULCHA CANDELA on their GER-AT-CH tour, representing “CREO”.

In 2010 the song “Llegó el día llegó” became the hymn of the presidential campaign around the candidate Antanas Mockus, who came up with new symbols for colombia - peace - and a pencil for education. Mil Santos and Nicatea were invited throughout Colombia. Because of the large amount of media coverage they gave numerous concerts and interviews (ZDF,CNN-USA,Billboard-Magazine, Funkhaus Europa among others). One of the unforgotten moments took place on the Plaza Bolívar in the heart of Bogotá in front of almost 50,000 people. With the crowd singing „llego el dia llego“ became a defining piece of that moving time.

Furthermore the "berliners" and their live-band, passionate musicians from all over the world, kept on playing familiar venues like for example in „Haus der Kulturen der Welt“ in Berlin, the stadium in Wiesbaden to mark a formula 1 fundraiser, the “Festival Mundial” (Netherlands), in which they were playing on the line up in between Calle 13 and Sean Paul, various stages in turkey, at film festivals as Cannes, several times „The Berlinale“ and many more.

Yearsafter „llego el dia llego“ Nicatea and Mil Santos were invited to Kopenhagen, Denmark to the filmfestival CPH:DOX. It was the premiere of „Life is sacred“ a cine-documentary of „Final Cut for Real“. The song of this time and movement applies several times. It was also an emotional reunion with the people of that time. In Cartagena, Colombia again, they played at the „Todos para un nuevo pais“ – congress („All together for a new country“) on the occasion of the peace process in colombia.

Besides concerts with Mil Santos and collaborations on stage as in the studio for other artists, or vocal support of Wolfgang Niedecken, Julia Neigel and more - Nicatea works on new songs.
