      Oscar 'Chicken' Henry was born on this day in 1888.  Traditional jazz trombonist and pianist from New Orleans, Louisiana. Chicken was an authentic 'Piano Professor' in Hattie Rogers' bordello in the Storyville district in 1906. He was a student of music at Straight University and in 1931 was burned in a accident and changed from piano to trombone. In the late thirties, he worked in the 'WPA Brass Band', the 'ERA Orchestra' and with 'Kid' Howard. In the late fifties he played with the 'Eureka Brass Band' and later at Preservation Hall.       Dorothy LaBostrie, a native of Rayland, KY was born on this day in 1938. She was one of the most prolific R&B and popular songwriters to emerge from ‪#‎NOLA‬. She was raised in Alabama and moved to New Orleans as a teen. She's most well-known for cowriting Little Richard's hit "Tutti Frutti". She also penned the classics "I Will Not Cry" for Johnny Adams and "(You Can Have My Husband, But Please) Do not Mess With My Man" for Irma Thomas. Around 1970 she move to New York and devoted her writing to the church. Dorothy died on November 4, 2007. [nola.tw/Fo|mysp.ac/6u4]
