      Never thought I'd be restoring two at once. Compared to the hearse the pony will be a piece of cake.

      It's a 289. I replaced the carburator , alternator, battery and ignition switch and it started right up. Runs great.

      There is no interior which is fine by me. It'll save me the trouble of taking it all out when I'm ready to put the new stuff in.

      Body work... this summer both quarter panels will be replaced along with the taillight panel, trunk lid, hood and drivers side door.

      Apparently there was an accident at the drivers side front corner. The steering has been knocked out of whack and it has a bent spindle.

      Restoring this window regulator was in no way worth it. I'll just get a new one next time. whew!

      The hinges on this door needed restoring. I broke about 15 bits trying to drill out three broken hinge bolts and only had success with two.

      Figured I'd restore the steering wheel myself. Got a new instrument bezel now just need working gauges.

      Had to remove the pedal assembly to install some new bushings. Cleaned and painted while I had it out.

      I did the fire wall insulator myself. Much easier than I thought and definately cheaper than ordering one pre-cut.

      Dash area will eventually be painted saddle to match the new upholstery.

      Gave the inside of the door here a layer of undercoating to help keep the water out.

      Stripped, clean, primed and ready for some new weatherstripping.
