The WWW band was established in Prague at the beginning of 90s, i.e. in the period of fall of the Communist regime in the then Czechoslovakia. WWW was one of the first bands experimenting with rap in Czechoslovakia. Later on it began to work with live instruments and deviated from the classic rap production. In 2000 the WWW has suspended its activities and its members devoted themselves to their other occupations (the founding musician of the WWW, Ondřej Anděra, is a movie director, and the lyric writer, Lubomír Typlt, is a painter).

The WWW returned to the stage with the debut album of Neurobeat in 2006, under the independent label of BiggBoss. The WWW chooses the way of presentation through the author’s stylization and hip-hop definition as an area for authenticity. The “Neurobeat” was published at the second Czech dual disc in the row, which comprises also the original video clips of the band. Visual creation of the WWW is presented in significant art galleries.

Music of the WWW fuses the hip-hop, industrial and electronics procedures in an original way. The texts provoke the listeners to exert their imagination; their poignancy is intensified by a wide variety of poetic and phonetic means. Concerts of the WWW are elemental thanks to performance with pad instruments, original audio-visual instruments (sound-bound laser beam), expressive vocals of Ondřej Anděra and woman-singer Milesa, music guests and video projection. Several times the WWW were the headliners of the big music festivals in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic, they obtained the prestigious art award of the Revolver Revue art magazine. The band performed also concerts in Poland, in Netherlands on Eurosonic Noorderslag 2009 Festival and in Paris on the music festival of Féte de la musique 2009.

Highlights:

The WWW had published to studio albums, appreciated by critics both in the Czech and Slovak republics. They were nominated for several music awards - for instance Anděl (Angel) and obtained the prestigious art award of the Revolver Revue. That represented the Czech cultural background for the Czech Centers in Slovakia, in Poland, in Netherlands, in France, for instance at festivals of Eurosonic Noorderslag 2009 and in Paris on Féte de la musique 2009. The WWW are also sought-after as creators of the movie and theatre music, from independent productions up to creation for the government cultural organizations (National Theatre, Czech Television, Czech Olympic Committee in London 2012, etc.). Also the visual creations of the band are appreciated by the Czech art society and exhibited in the prestigious Czech and Slovak galleries. The WWW were asked and during its existence they successfully performed as the music support/forerunner for instance with the following artists: The Goats, Sinéad O'Connor, Antipop Consortium, Dj Hudson Mohawke, Boys Noize, Public Enemy.

Presently the WWW work on their third studio disc, which is to be published in May 2013, the disc will be published simultaneously with the book publication of the band texts and with graphic accompaniment (for instance photos by Ivan Pinkava).
