Ham-E, aka Tha Northern Mic, was born in Vancouver B.C. and raised in South Burnaby without a father figure and with a mom trying to raise 3 young boys on her own. That night, his house was broken in to after the blaze and his electric guitar / amp were stolen, forever changing how he saw the world and defining the path that led him to hip hop. Being the man of the house and being the oldest son, he felt a lot of pressure as a kid to watch over his family and to succeed at whatever he was involved in.
