Tyler Fritzel and Jennings Smith met in the fall of 2013 at Berklee College of Music.
They jammed a few times and instantly knew they wanted to start writing seriously together and form a band. Myth of I came together a few weeks later with Rahul Nair on drums and Jacob Umansky on bass. After playing together for a couple of months Rahul had decided to leave and focus more on his schooling amongst other things. in 2014 Myth of I laid dormant for about 6-8 months, where in this time Jennings Smith and Tyler Fritzel wrote a tremendous amount of music. After not being able to practice as a band they decided to find a drummer. Shortly after their search started it had ended with the finding of Matt Lippa. They practiced once as a full band in the fall of 2014 but Jacob had recently joined the band Painted in Exile and wasn't able to fully commit to all the projects he was working with and had to leave the band. The crew then again went on a search for a bassist, but what they got was something much much more. Aodan Collins was recommend by one of their friends Hunter Bass as he said "I mean he's a classical cello player, but he shreds to" and thus Myth of I contacted him and he joined the band shortly after. Currently they are in the process of getting their ep produced and ready for release, as well as playing gigs in the Boston area.
