Behind the Scenes at the Holly Miranda "Desert Call" Shoot
Myspace
For her latest music video (co-produced by Myspace and Dave Sitek's Federal Prism label), Holly Miranda channels the healing power of a sound bath at the Integratron, a rejuvenating structure near Joshua Tree, Calif. that is allegedly capable of anti-gravity experiences and even time travel. Here, award-winning music video and short film director Sylvia Sether tells us the behind-the-scenes story of the shoot with this exclusive photo mix. Trip the light fantastic.  Images by Sylvia Sether and Alex Pollini.

"This is the ceiling from the center of the Integratron. The Integratron is a very special place in Landers, CA that gives sound baths. Holly and I collaborated on the concept which all began with a trip to Joshua Tree, and a sound bath here: www.integratron.com" Photo by Alex Pollini.

"Since we shot out of town on location, we tried to keep things as simple as possible. This resulted in our producer Brook and myself being featured extras in video. This shot is of Holly laughing at my terrible acting. I couldn’t keep a straight face. We kept losing it like five-year-olds, which we did A LOT on this shoot." Photo by Alex Pollini.
