Friday, ​June 21, marks the summer solstice, which means we're already halfway through the year (can you believe that, honestly?). 2013 has been an amazing year for music. Daft Punk and Kanye West blew us away, indie bands Deafheaven and HAIM made us listen to their records on repeat, newcomers Rhye and Chvrches had us begging for more. And there were so many more who impressed us, from Drake to Paramore to Empire of the Sun. Here is a mix of our favorite songs from 2013 so far, as we look forward to even more gems to come. (P.S.
