She studied dance, created her own artistic school, and worked as a DJ on one of France's most commercially successful radio stations, yet -- in spite of this rather important experience -- she gained attention primarily through plays of "Garçon" on her MySpace page. "Garçon" -- which demonstrated her obsession with hip-hop and featured a catchy chorus that earned her a significant amount of airplay -- soon became a 2007 hit single and helped the sales of Koxie's first LP to grow dramatically, despite copyright issues that caused it to be withdrawn from the market in its initial edition. ~ Olivier Duboc
