Not to be confused with Nick Oliveri's Mondo Generator project, Mos Generator are a power trio from Silverdale, WA, who are devoted to reviving the classic rock sounds of the 1970s and who consist of Northwest music scene veterans Tony Reed (vocals, guitar, Wurlitzer; ex-Treepeople), Scooter Haslip (bass; ex-Voodoo Gearshift), and Shawn Johnson (drums; ex-Mind Funk).
Originally conceived circa 2002, Mos Generator followed a self-titled debut with an apocalyptic concept album entitled Late Great Planet Earth in 2005, then a collection named The Vault Sessions in 2006, plus a split release with lumberjack rockers the Hitch. Another full-length, entitled Songs for Future Gods, was released by Small Stone in 2007. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
