Hailing from Mountlake Terrace, WA, the eclectic trio known as Mon Frere cultivate electro-shock, jazz-tinged dance-pop with a punk rock attitude.
Consisting of vocalist/keyboard player Nouela Johnston, guitarist Kyle Swisher, and drummer Dustin McGhie, the group funded the creation of its debut EP with winnings from a "Battle of the Bands" contest. The resulting Real Vampires was released in 2005 on Cake Records, followed by the full-length Blood, Sweat, and Swords in May 2006. ~ James Christopher Monger
