During his long career as a working class musician Michaelhas worked numerous types of venues and genres, from country two step clubs, jazz/blues clubs, top forty, and large festivals to Las Vegas shows. Michael was the road warrior guitarist forRobin Lee of top forty fame, Black Velvet, Atlantic Records, and other bands ofhis has been opening acts for numerous major artists. Former President BillClinton was such a fan of one of Michael’s bands based out of Hot Springs,Arkansas, that Mr. Clinton always made sure to bring his Sax along so he couldsit in with the band. On two different occasions Michael had two differentfemale singers hired directly from his band to be a part of the Roy Clark/ HeeHaw Show during the late seventies, which included the infamous GenniferFlowers, which Michael sang duets with, and Sherri Baker. Michael oftenjokingly said “I quit playing Tulsa Oklahoma, because every time I go there, someone hires away my females”. All joking aside Michael always enjoys seeinghis friends aspire to their goals and dreams. On such friend Jerry McCoy of TheHammers, “hooked up” with Michael in another popular Hot Springs, Arkansasband, and Michael was extended the honor of being Jerry’s guitarist, while hewas improving his bass guitar playing skills. Even though Jerry was a well knowNashville, Tennessee studio session guitar player, and former member of theseventies band Mighty High on MCA Records, he later landed a role with theAllman Brothers on their Reunion Tour Album, playing bass guitar.
