Itall started in Thessaloniki, Greece where the 3 guys and girl discovered theirmutual passion for music and decided to join their forces in order to make theirdream a reality.

Thename Mikro refers to a measurement and was adopted because it symbolizes thetechnological evolution, something that perfectly represents the group due totheir electronic sound.

Amongtheir new-year plans are new releases, many live performances, which apart fromintense thrills and unfailing energy and mobility, include video projections.The group specifically designed these projections, which are synchronized withtheir tracks, something that results in the transformation of their music intoa magical journey of sounds and images.

Highlights

Mikro have given many exquisite concerts and they haveshared the stage with many well known artists. Hooverphonic, Morrissey,Ladytron, Client, Depeche Mode's Andy Fletcher, Rasmus, Puressence, Kelis, TheRaveonettes, Timo Maas, Chicks on speed, Archive, Kwan, Eric Prydz toname but a few.

In November 2009 the band held a concert forthe third time inLondon at the famous club Scalapromoting their new album exclusively with Englishlyrics, Upload, released by their label, Undo Records.

In May 2010 MIKROparticipated together with other Balkan countries in a big music festival inSofia, Bulgaria. It was a humanitarian concert for Haiti at the initiative of the Minister of Culture of Bulgaria, organized by the Ministers of Culture of the Balkan countries.

In 2012 MIKROsuccessfully participated in Elevation Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria withbig names such as Cosheen, Groove Armada, Fatboy Slim and many others. In 2013 MIKRO are inthe studio preparing their new release.

Mikro's Impact

Radio producers, are happy to play Mikro’s tracks ontheir shows: from Nick Harcourt, the man who discovered Smashing Pumpkins, toKCRW, an independent radio station in Los Angeles who promotes new music.

MIKRO also attract advertising producers and television commercials. You can listento Mikro's songs and tunes as well as remixes on major TV commercials, such asmobile companies, ads for soft drinks, ice-creams, coffees, chewing gums,clothing and accessories. Names such us, Cosmote, Telestet , Fanta, Delta,Nokia, Dentyne, Nirvana, Stern cinemas, Attrattivo and many more trust Mikro'smusic for their campaigns and events. In 2011 MIKRO's song Paradisewas chosen by Mega TV station for their series,"The Gardeners of Mega".
