Metal Tears formed in 1992 by Glenn Kassahn and Gary Wilkins.
As teenagers Glenn and Gary played music through out their childhood years . After years of practicing and assembling a full line-up of musicians together Metal Tears did thier first midwest tour in 1995 followed by af 500 cassette tape release of their music. The cassettes sold out within three months; The sales of the cassettes helped Metal Tears win the title of best cd release of that year. Metal Tears had a couple different line up changes through out the years, but this never effected Glenn and Gary from pursuing their music desires. In 1997 Metal Tears released their first debut CD.
Over the next few years Metal Tears career took off with the help of Music Beacon Entertainment. Metal Tears regually was receiving calls to perform with national acts, touring bands and famous groups such as follows: Warrant, Great White, LA Guns, Pete Best, Faster Pussycat to name a few. Metal Tears went on to headline a night on the BudWorld Olympic Stage during the 2002 Olympics, and opening for Quiet Riot at the Winterfest Stage. Metal Tears started to play on the casino circuit followed by a recording of their second CD in 2003 that didn't get released. The band took 3 years off from 2003 to 2006. In 2007 Glenn and Gary refomed Metal Tears with new talanted members singer Tim Ivan and bassist Jason Dawson. In 2009 they released a 3 song demo and returned to the stage. The band is currently working on there next cd release.
