A thrash metal band from California, Merciless Death formed in early 2003 with the coming together of high-school friends Dan Holder and Andy Torres, soon rounded out in numbers by the addition of Cesar Torres on drums and Mike Griego on bass.
The band quickly recorded a demo in 2004, entitled Annihilate the Masses. Seeing the need for a more expanded calling card, Merciless Death recorded, produced, and released -- on their own -- their debut full-length, Evil in the Night, in 2006. The album caught the attention of Heavy Artillery Records, which signed them to a deal and re-released the album with new artwork. The band consolidated its gains by touring in 2007, and in 2008 was ready to bang some heads with album number two, Realm of Terror, in the shops. ~ Chris True
