Daughter of Bill Monroe. A singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, Monroe toured with her father’s roadshow during the 40s, 50s and 60s. She made some solo recordings, including ‘Stop, Look And Listen’, ‘You Rule My Heart’, ‘Peppermint Sticks And Lemon Drops’, ‘Ocean Of Tears’, for Columbia Records in the early 50s, but did not achieve any chart success. She can be heard singing ‘Dreaming Of A Little Cabin’ and ‘Love’s Gonna Live Here’ on the compilation Bill Monroe And His Blue Grass Boys: Live At Mechanics Hall recorded in 1963 and released on Acoustic Disc in 2004.
