1989 - 2000: Early days
Founded in 1989 by Mario, Rene, Mötle and Little, MAYFAIR released a demo, three CDs and played countless live-gigs during the following years. The press reviews were overwhelming and the band gained somehow cult status. Nevertheless, in 2001 the four musicians decided to put their teen love on hold, so each one of them could do its own (musical) thing …

2010 – 2012: Raw, Loud and Back Again

…but somehow the story was not told yet – at least for Rene and Mario. So they got back together and with Jolly on the drums and bassist Hannes have not only found worthy successors for Little and Mötle, but also a rhythm section that brings along a new spirit: raw and uncut and always beneficial to the song. The spacey tunes of the founding members are floating above that and are settling down in the auditory canal like an infinite loop. Feigned contradictions join each other and make appetite to reinvent oneself at the end of the day.

2013: Re-Release „Behind“

The re-release of the debut-album „Behind“ (as double-CD and vinyl) during spring 2013 came like a bombshell for the scene: Fans as well as the specialized press (Rock Hard Nr. 313: “Re-Release of the month”) were celebrating the new mastered version of the debut and once again the rebirth of MAYFAIR.

November 2013: New Album – „Schlage mein Herz, schlage...“

Finally, there will be new material coming out on November 8th 2013. The album named “Schlage mein Herz, schlage…” shall capture the gentle audience with its ten songs (with German and English lyrics) – like an unpredictable stage play: One time cool and kept at distance, one time affectionate, warm and near. First wild twirling till aggressive, in the next act sexy and at the end even as the best comforter for your (anguished) soul. On their long-desired comeback-album MAYFAIR convey the ease and serenity of skilled musicians as much as the restless energy of a resurgent band.
