In no time at all they began sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in Hardcore, establishing themselves as a prominent figure in the SF Bay Area local scene. Their first recording came as a demo in 2006. Soon after they finished their first demo, the band began to venture out on the road, including a western US tour in 2007 and a northwestern US tour in 2009. In the summer of 2009 they released their first album called “Things Get Worse Before They Get Better.” This 8 song EP was a self released effort available on vinyl, digital download, and on CD.

In 2010 Maya Over Eyes hit Mexico with First Blood for the first time. Por Vida set an image for the band that had the Maya Over Eyes touring the Mexican republic. 2011 they hit the road on a full U.S. tour with Forty Winters. Bring them home to write a full length. Rebel Alliance was released 2012 on Negative Progression Records (NPR).
