Bassist Max Stowers, born in Auckland N.Z. a self taught musician who started playing professionally on guitar from the age of 13 with his father jazz pianist John Stowers, his mother June on vocals, Kim Patterson on drums and Chuck Morgan on Bass.
At 15 he decided to change to playing bass guitar after hearing Howie Morgan play. Being 100% deaf in his left ear since birth had its challenges when it came to learning music by ear but Max's tenacity and passion for music gave him the patience to play records over and over again till he got the tune down.

Max has played with many of Australasia's top recording artists and musician's, played on television, film and radio, played support for acts like Randy Crawford, Ray Charles, The Neville Brother, Pointers Sisters, travelled the world touring, played with Stings drummer Manu Katche, held bass clinics around NZ and for the past five years been touring with New York soul singer Lisa Hunt. One of his career highlights was releasing his first album 'Malaga" which received great reviews and recieved radio play worldwide.

Max is about to release his 2nd album "Elements of Funk" January 9, 2016 so watch out for it.
