One of Canada's top jazz critics, Mark Miller has been writing for Toronto's Globe and Mall since 1978.
He has freelanced for a variety of magazines, including Downbeat, Jazz Forum and Coda, and was associate editor for the Encyclopedia of Music In Canada in 1982. However, his main contributions thus far have been four books that have done a great deal to shed life on Canada's well-hidden jazz legacy: Music In Canada -- Fourteen Lives (1982), Boogie, Pete & The Senator (1987), Cool Blues -- Charlie Parker In Canada 1953 (1989) and Such Melodious Racket (1997). ~ Scott Yanow
