Mark Anthony was born in the North Middlesex Hospital in Edmonton, North London.
He grew up on the Kings Crescent Estate in Finsbury Park in North London with his mother, father and younger brother. It is here where Mark began his deep interest in football and music.
At the age of fourteen, Mark's love for music grew, and Mark and his mates would often be found hanging around the estate imitating rappers and writing raps to perform.
Through his love for music, he met a rapper from South London called 'Hi Breed' and a singer from West London called 'Paul Lee'. After many years of hanging out together and sharing a deep passion for music, they eventually formed the music group 'The Meds Collective'.
The Meds Collective then teamed up with London based producer 'BA Nusance' and recorded a catalogue of tracks together.
In May 2012; The Meds Collective released their debut album 'Heartbreaks & Remedies' and in January 2013; released their debut EP 'Change'. These releases were followed up with various tours and shows in & around the UK.
Their busy gig schedule and social network presence, saw the group build up a core fan base around Europe and beyond.
The Meds Collective continue to write and record music together and have vowed to get back out on the gig circuit, when the time is right.
Although not a departure from the group, Mark's solo work signifies him being on top of his game, musically, mentally and creatively. He has been more definitive and expressive with his lyrical content and melodies.
Mark's aim is to hit a wider market and separate himself from your average artist.
Mark's solo journey is just beginning...stay tuned!
