My name is Mark Sean Orr.
I have lived in Indiana all my life and enjoy photography and genealogy as hobbies. I'm also a music and movie lover and I love biographies, book and TV. I play guitar, drums and trumpet. I was in the rock band Night Shift for 6 years.

I take photos of almost anything in my area of the midwest. I enjoy learning new editing techniques like HDR and just showing the world what my home here in Henry County a.k.a. Raintree County looks like. I also enjoy viewing other people's art and listening to new artists/musicians.

I have published the following books:

"A Midwest Pictorial" that is available here: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/285442

"21st Century Photography"...a collection of photographs by over 20 of today's great photographers from around the world. Check it out at: http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/1161103

I am currently working on 21st Century Vol. 3 "The Human Project", a collaborative book with 29 other photographers!

You can see my photos on the Showtime series "United States of Tara" directed by Diablo Cody and produced by Steven Spielberg. Season 3...episodes 3 and 4. Season 3 begins on March 28, 2011. One photo will be used (I've been told) as the opening shot to a scene. Episode 4 should air in April, 2011.

I'm currently working on a book about "Raintree County", the fictional place created by author Ross Lockridge Jr., in his 1948 novel of the same name. Raintree County was based on the real county of Henry... in Indiana. The characters in the book (and movie) were based on the real lives of the Shockley, Rhoton and Drake families who lived and died in Henry County. The underlying theme of the novel is the quest to find the elusive and magical raintree...planted by Johhny Applesseed. The person who found this wondrous tree would realize their dreams ..and the true meaning of life. There IS at least one real raintree in Henry County..I have seen and photographed it.

My photography has been exhibitd at the Henry County Museum & Historical Society and the Henry County Arts Park

I am currently exhibiting in the Open Space-Art About the Land exhibit. This exhibit was at the Minnetrista Museum in October, will move to the Henry County Art Association throughout November 2011 and end up in Anderson, Indiana at the Center For The Arts in Anderson in 2012.
