Indian-born pop vocalist Madhukar Chandra Dhas (full name), sings under the name Madooo in USA.
He formed a band,"Voodoos", while at boarding school. In 1971, he moved to Bombay. Madooo played the title role of his 1974 production of the musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar'. Madooo also led one of India's premier Rock bands, Atomic Forest, after which he began performing solo at 5-star hotels in India and across Asia. In 1978, he moved to the U.S., settling in New York, where he again worked in advertising while also pursuing his musical interests. He now seasonally performs at Beatlesfests across the USA and Canada.In 2002, he self-released his first album, 'This Day Is Forever', containing "The 9/11 Memorial Song" that has about 500,000 hits on YouTube. He produced his 2nd album under indie label MADOOO RECORDS, a Beatles tribute disc called "To the 'Fab Four" from Liverpool...A Tribute from India", in 2004.
