Originally from France, LysSparrow is a singer-songwriter.
He has written and produced several records withindifferent bands and his songs have been played on national radios in Francelike RTL and Le Mouv’ before he relocated in California.
As a Musician, he hasperformed from Paris to Chicago, from The Whisky a Go Go to The Troubadour(Hollywood) and even at The Tonight Show with Jay Leno (NBC). He has opened orshared the stage with Nada Surf (U.S.A, City Slang), Josh Groban (USA, Warner),The Whitlams (Australia, Warner), FFF (France, Warner), Dolly (France, EastWest/Warner) to name a few.
In Your Memory:
With help from his manyfriends in the Industry including producer-mixer Nate Pritchard (AcousticSyndicate, Martina McBride, Dave Matthews, Allison Krauss, Neil Young…), Lys recordedand produced his debut solo album entitled: “In Your Memory”.
He spent two months with Nate in the U.S. at Epiphonic Studios finishing the recordings and mixing the album with help from engineer Corey Leonard.
After years of work, Lys’ debut album “In Your Memory” was released on April 2008 with the label The End Of The World records.
2nd album
Now based in Los Angeles, Lysstarted working in the movie industry as a music Composer. His music matured aswell as his composing skills, combining classical orchestration, electronictextures and rock influences. He knew it was time for the second album…
Lys never stopped writing. Hestarted recording some guitar and vocal tracks from his studio in Santa Monicabefore starting a full on production and orchestration of what would become hissecond album. In 2013, after years of preparation and weeks of preproduction,the final recording session started with Andrew James (Bass) and Blake Paulson(Drums) at Fortress studio in Los Angeles (Engineer Max Coan).
If goodthings come to those who wait then he must have waited long enough becauseafter listening to a few of his tracks, 10 times Grammy Award winner, JoeChiccarelli called him to discuss the mixing of the Album. Joe's talent can beheard on albums from The White Stripes, U2, The Strokes, Morrissey, EltonJohn, Rufus Wainwright, Beck or The Raconteurs to name a few.
In July of 2014, they locked themselves inside 25th Street recording studioin Oakland, CA and would not come out until the gigantic project (7 years inthe making and an average of 90 tracks per song) was mixed.
