A South Korean pop and R&B duo that took a bubblegum image and turned it into a more mature and musical direction, Fly To The Sky was made up of members Brian Joo (born in the United States) and Korean born Hwanhee (aka Fany and Yoon-Suk Hwang).
The group was put together by promoter and management group SM Entertainment in 1998, and released their first album, Day By Day, in December of 1999. A follow up hit stores in 2001. Although 2002 saw the release of the duo's third album, Sea of Love, Brian Joo was unable to promote the record with Fany, as he was back in the States, studying at Rutgers University in New Jersey. The group (in a single member form) was able to continue as Fany took over promotion duty, and helped the album and singles become nationwide hits. 2003 was a bit of a trial for Fly To The Sky, as the group lost their manager to an auto accident. The group soldiered on, and in 2004 singed a new deal with a new management and promotion group, PFull Entertainment. The group would continue to release albums and in 2007 Fly To The Sky released their seventh album, No Limitations. It would become their first number one album. ~ Chris True
