Love. 45, a modern rock four-piece comfortable with catchy pop hooks, is comprised of Micki Shivers (vocals/guitar), Paul Trinidad (guitar), Danny Elster (bass), and Jim Messina (drums).
Natives of Denver, Love. 45 issued their debut, Day Glo, in 1998. A self-titled effort followed a year later, but the group took a long break to tour and rest before recording 2002's Larger Than Life. After a friend of the band had a chance meeting with 3 Doors Down guitarist Chris Henderson in 2003, Love. 45 didn't hesitate contacting him. They thought he'd never respond, however Henderson took an instant liking to Love. 45's modern rock sound and got in touch. Months later he and the band were writing and recording with Geoff Ott at London Bridge Studios in Seattle. The self-titled EP, not to be confused with the 1999 album of the same name, was released in fall 2004. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
