Working as Holögrama, Granade, Spain-based electronic musician Cráneo Prisma churned out multiple homemade releases and online tracks of his trippy, ambient-leaning indie rock in his first stretch of existence.
Calling on the same refashioned Krautrock rhythms as Stereolab and the dreamlike stupor of early Deerhunter recordings, Prisma worked mostly alone, though sometimes in collaboration with like-minded player Carlos Alcántara for various releases and live performances. Holögrama graduated to a more widespread audience with the release of 2014's Waves. The band's proper debut was released by U.S. label Trouble in Mind. ~ Fred Thomas
