Seattle three-piece Levator is comprised of Sky Lynn (vocals, guitar, effects, synth, bass), Nate Henry (tenor sax, effects, keyboards), and Rando Skrasek (drums, effects, synth, bass), who revel in the nuanced practice of composing drowsy, dreamy, shoegaze indie rock, infused with both pop and avant-garde influences -- and lots of Pink Floyd.
Originally launched as a solo project by Sky Lynn, who performed every instrument on the 2004 debut album Midnight, Levator expanded to a trio when touring became a option, and subsequent long-players Jackson Hwy. Barnes Drive (2006) and The Biggest Waves Come at Night (2009) have therefore featured contributions from all three members. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
