In2008, he began his college studies as a Guitar Performance Major in the Facultyof Fine Arts at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, where guitarist,composer, and professor Carlos Posada instructed him for 2 years, and hismentors have been Andres Samper, Cesar Quevedo and Sonia Diaz.
Inearly 2009 he was awarded with the Music Talent Scholarship at the Wanda L.Bass School of Music of Oklahoma City University (OCU) forhis work as an interpreter. Francisco graduated Cum Laudae with a major inClassical Guitar Performance under the direction of professor Michael Fresonke after4 years of undergraduate studies at the Bass School of Music. After graduating,Luis Francisco pursued his Masters degree in Guitar Performance under thedirection of professor Mathew Denman (Director of education – Guitar Foundationof America GFA). He has ventured moderately in the field of composition,composing a Colombian guitar suite entitled "Aires Colombianos" andvarious compositions for a band (Boreal), for which he is the guitarist/writer.Duringhis career, he has taken various master classes with renown guitarists such as AnaVidovic, Celino Romero, Celin Romero, Pepe Romero, Douglas Niedt, AdamHoltzman, Peter Vít and Elliot Fisk and participated in the accredited workshop“Todas las voces de la guitarra” (All the voices of the guitar), which was directedand leaded by composer and guitarist Arturo Parra in late 2008.
