Two years later in 1993, their album"DUNE" reached number in the Indies chart.　The band made their major debut with their1994 video-single “Nemuri ni yosete” (Ki/oon Sony Records) and since then, theyhave released 36 singles and 11 albums. The 1996 “True” album became theirfirst million-seller. Tickets for their December 1997 concert at Tokyo Dome(which holds capacitu of 50,000) sold out in just 4 minutes, which set a recordfor the fastest sell-out for Tokyo Dome’s history.

They released two albums, “ark”and “ray” simultaneously in 1999, which sold6million copies (simultaneously released in seven different countries in Asia)and their 1999 GRAND CROSS TOUR (12 shows in total) gathered 650,000 audiences.The final show of this tour was broadcasted live across Asia. Their first everperformance abroad was in Baltimore, USA in 2004, which gathered 12,000audiences, and in 2005, the band performed in Seoul, KOREA and Shanghai, CHINAenjoying rapturous reception from an audience of 10,000 in both countries.

The November 2006 “L’Arc～en～Ciel 15th L’Anniversary Live” was their 9thconcert in Tokyo Dome (the show was broadcasted in 25 countries worldwide). Incommemoration of the band’s 15th anniversary, they re-released theirfirst 15 singles which all entered the Top 30 Singles chart at a time. This wasyet another unprecedented record.

From April 2008, the band went on “TOUR2008 L’7 ～Trans ASIA viaPARIS～” whichincluded their 10t Tokyo Dome performance and 10 other concerts in sevendifferent cities around the world, gathering total of 320,000 audiences.Especially their performance in Paris, FRANCE was sensational as the special programme of the show was broadcasted on French National Television.

This monster band continues to build upsteady fans throughout Asia and around the world.

Their latest single “BLESS” (released 27thJan 2010) became “NHK Vancouver 2010 theme song” recently. And the band’s firstconcert after the interval of 2.5years, 20th L’Anniversary StartingLive “L’ A HAPPY NEW YEAR!”, started at 24o’clock on 31st December2010 at Makuhari Messe.

In order tocelebrate the band’s 20th anniversary year, the special show titledas "20th L' Anniversary Live" is planned to be held in May atAjinomoto Stadium .
