A mi-chemin entre Susana Baca et Novalima, elle nous offre un regard vivant et actuel des rythmes de la Côte Pacifique où elle a grandi, facette musicale du Pérou encore si méconnue... Polyrythmie et entrechocs de mélodies où l’on entend résonner les voix des peuples frères d’histoire et de musique. Dans ses textes, des histoires fantastiques ou banales deviennent prétextes à la réflexion sur le quotidien et l’inattendu d’ici ou d’ailleurs: lucidité mêlée de fantaisie et d’une dérision sans complaisance qui nous emporte irrésistiblement. En 2009, elle produit le disque "De verdes... y maduras" en collaboration avec La Brecha, l'Alliance Française de Lima (Pérou) et la SPEDIDAM. Elle travaille en France et au Pérou sur l’enregistrement de son nouvel album.

La musique afro-péruvienne, autrefois développée essentiellement par les descendants africains et reléguée aux quartiers populaires, est réhabilitée aujourd'hui dans l'ensemble du pays, où elle est devenue symbole de fierté et de "Péruanité". Sous son inspiration, le panorama de la scène musicale actuelle évolue, éclatant et diversifié, enrichi d'un métissage où se jouent autant d'influences traditionnelles africaines, andines et européennes.
