Kriss Kilong is the founder and lead vocalist of the explosive progressive rock-fusion band MADJIK(1994-2000), one of the major figures in the metal movement at the end of the nineties in France. Kriss sculpts sound in a myriad ways - the language of his music is truly universal.

A music fanatic from birth, Kriss explores and crosses all genres, laying bridges between styles and movements, from rock-and-roll, pop and swing, to funk, rhythm-and-blues, folk and fusion, whilst remaining open to their limitless possibilities . This is total jubilation.

His vocabulary is geographic. Seen on stage with his virtuoso Madjik brothers,carving split-second flashes of distortion and saturation, incorporatinghaunting melodies, complex harmonies and penetrating lyrics, the band markedtheir marathon tours of the highways and byways of France with their infectiousrhythms and overflowing energy.

Kriss could also be found in the USA, in a choir along side giants of gospel, in unison with the congregation, instinctively taking on the attributes of a cool black cat. Kriss is a tamer of notes, an explorer of nuances, an enthusiast of harmony, resonance,rhythmic complexity and seeker of the incandescent groove. A wild sorcerer ofthe elements, he plugs into the gentle acoustics of the air, the electric heat of the fire and the pounding drum of the storm, whilst creating pure sparks of melodic dialogue with his guitarist.

Throughout his travels, he has taken time to breathe, contemplate the world around him, collect nocturnal sounds, compose music, jot down meaningful lyricsthat are personal yet universal, working in both French and English, with no barrier or Channel. Sound cloaks the words, giving them fabric, warmthand meaning.

Music speaks to him and he speaks to the music, hearing it in its most secret hiding places - a noise on a table, the toll of a bell, the tick of a clock. Indaily life, in dreams, on stage, during a sound check, he composes, filling books with notes and lyrics, recording riffs, inventing sounds in his lab,never cheating on his emotions, free from compromise.

In recent years, Kriss Kilong has been involved with various ventures as a drummer and has been in demand for his singing talents by many musicians, such as Bastien Burger (ex-MADJIK, Destruction Inc, Olivia Baum), Tass (ex-Kama Sutra, Darwin Bay), without excluding other musical areas, e.g. advertisements for such well-known companies asMcDonalds, Babybel, Decathlon…
