KOFFIE had a great summer! They released their first album in march 2013 on Dox Records and toured all the summer through the Netherlands (including shows like Welcome to the Village, Haarlem Jazz, Jazzdag) but also went to Hungary (Campus Festival), Switzerland (Blue Balls Festival), and Belgium (Knokke).
Their single Kyrie Ayé was in the playlist of national radiostation "radio 6" and could also be heard on radio 1.

KOFFIE went to Berlin in january to record their second album in the Lovelite Studio. In this studio afrolegend Ebo Taylor recorded his album Appia Kwa Bridge featuring Tony Allen, the former drummer of Fela Kuti. This place used to be an DDR garage but is now an place where engineer Jochen Stroh records on 1/2 inch tape to get the oldskool funksound. That's exactly the sound where KOFFIE was looking for. This album is called Lady and will be released in novembre 2013.

The music of KOFFIE could be described as a mixture of afrobeat, jazz & 70's funk (wich means it's high energy groove music with virtuose solo's). Big influences where Fela Kuti (with Tony Allen on drums), James Brown (with the mighty Bootsy Collins on bass), Miles Davis, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc...
