Kloq are forged from three key elements.
The love of electronic rock and alternative music, growing up in and around Essex and it's boundless music community and the determination to create something new and expressive for the masses. Started as a studio project by Empirion Founder member Oz Morsley. Kloq is a direct evolution of the work and success born from Empirion. Having a major hit with the 12" acid house anthem "Narcotic Influence" Oz was propelled in to the dance scene. Signed by XL records and touring and remixing for the Prodigy, Moby and 808 state here is where Oz took major influence,as well as influences from rock, Electro and more. Flash forward a few years and after the split of Empirion and the untimely death of friendand Empirion band mate Bob Glennie, Oz released the much acclaimed first album "Move Forward" The album featured several notable collaborationsfrom Douglas McCarthy - Nitzer ebb, Paolo Morena - The Morenas and Lucia Carnel from Sunscreem.

At the time, the band consisted only of Oz and touring front man Greg Cumbers. The pair embarked on a mammoth promotional campaign that took them from Japan to Poland, the UK, Germany and beyond. As the sound evolved, so did Oz Mosley's idea of the band. From the early days as a duo, it was now time to expand the sound and this was achieved with the addition of Tim Jackson on bass guitar. Tim was an old friend of Oz's and had just recently split from a band Oz had produced several years earlier.

Tim had also worked as demonstrator for Trace Elliot amplification and various sessions, playing with Mat Cardel, Olly Murs and Jim Davies (Prodigy guitarist on Firestarter) and to this day is an endorsee of Trace Elliot, Warwick bass guitars. A further year of promotional touring was undertaken alongside other notable bands and friends Nitzer Ebb, VNV nation IAMX and MESH. Kloq swiftly carved out a steady fan base for themselves and their music. During this time Kloq had used Mark Jackson of VNV Nation on drums. This had opened up yet another soundscape live, and moved the band on to a much more commercial, radio friendly sound. The band looked around for a more permanent and commercially minded drummer for the position. Along came the first of two drummers Steve Wilson. Large in both sound and stature. He had also worked with both Oz and Tim and was a regular on the UK session scene. Once again, The band embarked on more gigs and tours across the globe with many big festival shows.

Kloq then again decided to push themselves to a more commercial arena and so after the departure of their touring singer Greg replaced him with the permanent addition of the outstanding local Essex singer Dean Goodwin. He adds an even more commercial element to the band and firmly secures Kloqs roots within the dance/rock music section! Deans vocal style echoes that of The Killers and Kasabian, yet with a feel and direction all his own.

The next incarnation and final evolution of Kloq adds Alex Baker on drums after the departure of Steve Wilson. Alex, a long term drum tech for the band Skindread brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of dance and techno beats that fits in perfectly to the kloq sound. Kloq are passionate about what they do. From live performance and technology to studio production and their attention to every detail.

Kloq will move forward. the only question you need to ask yourself is where will you be when they do!
