Kiyoshi Ono is the man behind the soft electronic landscapes that are Kiyo.
Born July 5, 1966, in Japan, Kiyoshi's early inspirations were new wave and punk rock along with the strange world of director David Lynch. His first release was one track under Kiyoshi's proper name on Merck's 2000 collection Aurora. In 2002 a mysterious package arrived at the door of Schematic Records with a demo inside and the message "Enjoy warm music from Japan." It was Kiyo, and Schematic was so impressed that the label included two of the tracks on its 2003 Well Suited for General-Purpose Audio Work compilation. The same year the label released Kiyo's full-length debut, Chaotech Odd Echo. ~ David Jeffries
