Grounded in the sounds of Detroit techno and Chicago industrial, Kill Memory Crash began making music in the early '90s, recording under the alias Feed the Machine.
After releasing several limited-edition 12"s and countless performances at raves, clubs, and warehouse parties, the duo retooled and rechristened itself as Kill Memory Crash in the early 2000s. Their debut EP, When the Blood Turns Black, appeared on the Ann Arbor-based Ghostly International imprint in summer 2003 and was followed by a series of 12" releases. Their first official full-length, American Automatic, was released by Ghostly International in May of 2005. ~ Rob Theakston
