Kids United is a six-piece children's pop group out of France.
Ranging in age from eight to 15, Carla, Erza, Esteban, Gabriel, Gloria, and Nilusi founded the group in 2015 under the guidance of singer Hélène Ségara and UNICEF. Some of the kids were known from various French television singing competitions, like The Voice Kids. They charted at home later in 2015 with their first single, "On Écrit sur les Murs," a cover of the Demis Roussos song from 1989. The group's peace-themed debut album, Un Monde Meilleur, arrived a few weeks later in November 2015, and also included covers of John Lennon's "Imagine," Pharrell Williams' "Happy," and, among several other French-language songs, "Toi + Moi," a 2008 hit in parts of Europe by Grégoire. Featuring guest spots by Ségara and Corneille, and with some proceeds going to UNICEF, the album hit number one in France and number seven in Switzerland. ~ Marcy Donelson
