first entered into the music industry while still in High School as a Graphic artist for Lyor Cohen and Russell Simmons at Rush Artist Management. Soon after he became an intern at Calliope Studios studying music engineering under Bob Power, assisting recording sessions for artists such as Masters at Work, Third Base, KMD, Gangstarr, Bobby Kondors, Prince Paul and many others. Kruz's lifelong love of music soon translated into a budding Dj career as well as a career in Rap beginning with a spot in Mark Ronson's very first professional band.At college in Atlanta, Ga., Kev Kruz soon became an important Dj, Event Promoter and Hip-Hop Mc in Atlanta in the 90's. Both in Ny and Atlanta he opened either as a Dj or Mc, for acts such as Afrika Bambaata, Clark Kent, The Pharcyde, The Fugees, Gangstarr, MOP and many more, playing at some of the East Coast's most important music venues.

A return to House Music since 2010 has seen Kev Kruz record for Todd Terry's InHouse record label, Oscar P's Open Bar Music, Soul Sun Soul Music, Vialocal (Italy), Natural Essence Media (UK), Twelve Records (Italy) and Mezzo Records(Chicago). Kruz has had the opportunity to work with number one recording artists such as Earthman ( Kraze), Cassio Ware, Darryl D'Bonneau and David Walker. He also promotes events in Nyc and has Djayed many of the quality House Music venues in Nyc, including Club Shelter and gigs along side the likes of Dj Disciple and Duece Martinez.

As a producer, Kev Kruz is also a member of one of South Africa's most influential production teams, The Iklwa Brothers. As a Dj, he can be heard with his brand of Deep/Tribal/Afro-Soul during the last week of each month with a 2hr radio set for Natural Essence Media that broadcasts on most of the well known Internet radio stations and some FM channels. His Dj set can be heard in countries as far reaching as The Uk, Ireland, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, Bosnia, Turkey, Egypt, Poland, Chile, Argentina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Germany, Spain and Canada.
