Having toured the world as co-vocalist of ‘The Streets’, Kevin Mark Trail has an impressive list of collaborations under his belt including Nitin Sawhney, Estelle and Black Twang, as well as supporting the likes of N.E.R.D, Massive Attack and Angie Stone.His New Zealand collaborations include Pieter T, Jason Eli, Nathan Haines and Sola Rosa. Now, having launched a critically acclaimed solo career, Kevin Mark Trail brings his new album "The Knight" to New Zealand shores

The Knight is an Electro Cinematic Soul project with a conscience, born in reaction to the current state of society. The album is a response to the current importance we place on lust, fame, money, power, which some consider to be the "light" Trail states "If this world is the light then love equality, and freedom must be the night" Created with this theme in mind Trail explores love of self, racism, identity, equality, thought and freedom. The musical landscape has been created by Kevin Mark Trail and features vocalist Sharlene Hector of Basement Jaxx.

Written and recorded in the back streets of London, then mixed in the forest of Titirangi New Zealand by Chris Chetland and Kevin Mark Trail.
