The rich sound of the band is provided by the accordion, powerful rhythm guitar and bodhran giving a fullness that belies the number of people on stage, all underpinning strong and vibrant vocals.

With a repertoire that encompasses fast and furious Celtic songs and tunes, gentle ballads, quality contemporary numbers as well as some original material, this Nottingham-based band are one of the most sought after on the circuit.

With gigs spanning the length and breadth of the country and stretching into Europe, Kellys Heroes have a workload which proves their broad popularity!

Although it must be stressed that most bookings are undertaken as a three-piece, when playing for Ceilidhs and Barn Dances, they always bring along a caller who works wonders at getting people involved in fun, easy traditional dances.

When required, the band is augmented with fiddle, banjo and whistles. These musicians have all been involved in the band for many years, but since they are working musicians in their own right, their appearance with Kellys will depend on availability for the specific date.
