JXXIII (J23) born to Nigerian immigrants in 1993, was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
The young artist started writing poetry at age 15, she developed her early sound by studying hip-hop and R&B greats.She’s influenced by Nas, Ms.Lauryn Hill, Common, 2Pac and Brandon Hines. She describes her musical style as 90’s backpack boom-bap mixed with melodic neo-soul. Jxxiii has worked with numerous songwriters and producers in the United States and abroad. After graduating in 2015, JXXIII went on to start her own recording company CAQ Records. JXXIII's goal is to touch listeners globally with her message of motivation, love and hope.
